What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator CSDD/Residential position at Community Mental Health Authority?
Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Residential Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the operations of several Group Homes or Independent Living Projects. This includes coordination of client placements, coordination of home program planning, staffing, home maintenance, and licensing compliance. Also works with community groups to facilitate program and resident acceptance. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.
Requirements: Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field from an accredited college or university required. Minimum three years work experience with individuals with mental illness or developmental disabilities is required. At least one year of work experience in a lead position or more responsible position is required. Leadership and good judgment skills required. A commitment to Gentle Teaching practices is required. Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both in writing and verbally is required. May participate in management 24-hour on-call system include holidays and weekends. Candidate will provide crisis intervention as needed and must be physically able to do lifting and transferring of physically impaired consumers. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable means of transportation for job related use is required.
Conditional Employment Requirements: Offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a background verification and credentialing procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police clearance check (including fingerprinting), Medicaid/Medicare verification, verification of an acceptable driving record, educational background check, and verification of an acceptable work history. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical exam. Must be able to pass a physical exam annually.

Salary/Hours: $64,768-$75,345 annually 40 hours per week. Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00 pm, including some evening and weekend hours.
Location: Community Services for the Developmentally Disabled, Residential Services, Lansing, Michigan.
