What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Worker AMHS/ACT position at Community Mental Health Authority?

Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the ACT Coordinator, provides a variety of paraprofessional mental health services to consumers, both in the office and the community or in consumer homes. Job duties include but are not limited to; assisting consumers in utilizing community resources, securing benefits, learning daily living skills, transporting consumers to and from appointments, medication deliveries, Social Security Representative Payee activities, etc. This position will also assist professional staff in developing and carrying out consumer treatment plans.
Requirements: Possession of a High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency is required. A minimum of one-year experience working with persons with mental illness is required. Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both in writing and verbally is required. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable means of transportation for job related use required.
Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a Michigan State Police clearance check, and verification of an acceptable Michigan driving record. An individual may be excluded from consideration based upon driving record, pre-employment 5-panel drug screen.

Salary/Hours: $20.21 - $21.82 hourly. 40 hours weekly.
