What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Mental Health Worker - Families Forward - Child Services position at Community Mental Health Authority?
Responsibilities: Under the general supervision of the Families Forward/Crisis Services Coordinator, provides a supportive atmosphere for families and children experiencing acute mental health crisis both in the mobile crisis and office settings, works extensively with community emergency personnel including police officers and EMT’s, co-responds to aspects of a crisis situations; and monitors program activity. Provides assistance to therapists and interacts with consumers in a short term crisis intervention program. Duties include a variety of supportive services and direct interventions with families and children experiencing behavioral health crisis in accordance with treatment plans developed by professional personnel. Responsible for maintaining a secure environment. Responsible for obtaining and sharing information with therapists in the CMHA-CEI system. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.
