What are the responsibilities and job description for the OBRA Assessor position at Community Mental Health for Central Michigan?
SCHEDULE
This is an intermittent position (on call) that will be scheduled for anywhere between 0 and 20 hours per week - the hours are dependent on the current needs. This will be discussed further in an interview.
JOB SUMMARY
- Provide comprehensive psychosocial assessments to persons seeking or residing in a nursing home for OBRA Mental Health Assessments.
- Directly observe, interview, and evaluate referred individuals in community settings with recommendations to the Agency and/or nursing home staff for Mental Health treatment and programs designed to enhance an individual's lifestyle.
- Completes timely comprehensive Psychosocial assessments and communications required while adhering to Agency policies, procedures, and OBRA requirements.
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
Education: Master's Degree is required with a major in Social Work, Counseling or Clinical/Counseling Psychology.
Job-Related Experience: Sufficient experience to perform the position at a satisfactory level required. Experience with relevant population in a community mental health setting preferred.
Licenses and Certifications: Michigan state licensure. Valid driver's license while operating vehicle on agency business.
