General Overview : The Development Director will play a pivotal role in raising critical funds for our organization. In 2025, Community Missions celebrates its 100th year of service to the Niagara community. We are seeking a talented, creative fundraising professional to help us secure funds to maintain and grow programming as we enter our second century of service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in major gift fundraising, experience in donor cultivation, a passion for helping strengthen our community, and a genuine interest in engaging with people.

Qualifications : Three years’ experience in development within a non-profit organization. Proven success in researching and securing individual gifts, including annual fund and major gifts. Experience with major gifts, capital campaign fundraising and grant writing preferred. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and reports. Computer competency. Demonstrated proficiency with fundraising databases (Bloomerang preferred) and use of various computer programs, including Microsoft Office Suite. Valid NYS Drivers License and willingness to travel as needed. Master’s degree preferred.
