Bank Teller
BASIC FUNCTION:
Assure quality customer service in a friendly, accurate, and professional manner. Provide excellent customer service by conducting appropriate transactions and meeting the needs of customers by referring them to appropriate departments in the bank. Possess both the ability to communicate orally in an effective manner and the ability to work well with customers, supervisors, and other employees.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proficient computer skills
- The ability to prioritize and make on-the-spot decisions regarding customer transactions, weighing customer satisfaction issues with bank exposure to loss or fraud
- Mathematical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to cross sell in store banking centers
- High degree of accuracy
- Strong communication skills both in person and over the telephone
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Cash handling or sales experience preferred.
- Prior Customer Service experience preferred
