Position Summary :
The Donor Engagement Specialist will support individual donor engagement for current and newly identified major donors. This is a part-time position that is accountable directly to the Director of Development and supports the Vice President, Development and Communications and President and CEO.
The pay rate for this position ranges between $24.03 - $26.44 per hour and the offer amount is determined by the candidate's education, qualifications, and experience . Indeed provides their own estimated salary calculator and is not affiliated with COH's range.
Highlighted Duties and Responsibilities :
- Develops and executes individual giving strategies that welcome and cultivate donors giving between[LG1] $500 and $999 and including welcome calls, personal thank you cards, special mailings, and other engagement tactics.
- Manages logistics of annual year-end phone-a-thon.
- Supports Night of Hope through registration management including software management, nametag production,
- Coordinates and prepares materials - new donor research and next moves required - for regular Individuals Moves Management meetings.
- Supports development of donor-focused publications with Communications team, Director of Development, and VP, Development and Communications.
- Under direction of VP, Development and Communications and Development Director researches the philanthropic capacity of noteworthy individuals who have not yet given to COH using accessible platforms including Google, Blackbaud Analytics, and resources as able including Donor Search.
- Reviews a targeted list of new donors annually, providing details on capacity and vetting capacity generated in Blackbaud Analytics.
- As requested, inputs research into Raiser's Edge prospect research and develops and shares reports on prospects for further engagement.
- Completes other duties as requested by supervisor.
- Attends all-staff retreats, and development staff meetings regularly.

For over 40 years, we have provided healthcare, housing, and supportive services for under-resourced, underserved and people experiencing homelessness in Washington, DC. As a Federally Qualified Health Center, we provide medical, dental, emotional wellness, and care coordination services for the whole family at three locations in DC. Community of Hope also strongly emphasizes maternal and child health, with midwifery practice and the only free-standing birth center in DC.
