We are now hiring a Full-Time Director of Community Services in Ogden, UT. The Director of Community Services is responsible for developing and managing in-home supports, residential services, and community-based services. This person will maintain high-quality programs in accordance with state and local regulations.
Starting Salary: $55,000.00 per year
Schedule: Monday-Friday. On call required after hours and weekends

Responsibilities
- Develop new programs including in-home supports, family model, host homes, and community-based services, and liaison with managed care organizations
- Lead and train teams to support programmatic initiatives, goals, daily routines, and the unique needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Assess referrals for adults and children requiring supports and coordinate program admissions
- Oversee daily operations of in-home supports, residential services, and community-based services
- Liaison with referral sources to identify program placement opportunities
- Ensure programs are in compliance with state licensing and reporting standards
- Assist with quality assurance and program improvement activities with a focus on improving current policies, practices, and procedures
- Provide training on programs, policies, and procedures to improve service delivery
- Assist with recruitment, hiring, and performance management
- Assist with monitoring and managing overtime
- Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
- Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field
- Master’s degree preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or behavioral health
- Experience working with behavior challenged children and adults
- Team-oriented with demonstrated leadership experience
- Experience with problem solving against multiple priorities
- Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports
- Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
