Our state-of-the-art clinic in the heart of the historic walker's point, is seeking to recruit an office coordinator to join our team. We are looking for someone who is committed to the service of our community, and who strives for excellence in their work.
Community Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is a relatively new establishment. We opened about three years ago. We have served hundreds of patients so far, and we are proud to have provided them with exceptional care. We are looking to add a team member who would take pride in this mission of excellent service and who would help grow our team and our clinic.
The person who would fill in the position would work 4.5 to 5 days per week (Monday through Friday). The responsibilities of this position will include answering and returning phone calls with a smile, scheduling and managing appointments proficiently, scanning documents and mailing letters to referral offices, checking patients in and out, collecting co-pays and out-of-pocket costs, discussing treatment plans and insurance estimates with patients.
The individual who will fill this role should be able to proficiently use a PC, type a an average of 35 words per minute, navigate the phone lines, voicemail, and the electronic record system with ease. HIPAA competency is required. Prior experience in a healthcare setting is required.
Experience with medical and dental insurance verification and creating insurance estimates as well as submitting pre-determinations to dental insurance will be given preference.
This is a customer service position that involves taking payments. Excellent customer service is expected. The individual who will fill in this role has to be a people's person who is willing to have conversations about payments with sensitivity. Additionally, the individual who will fill in this role has to have a willingness to understand and empathize with patients' needs.
