Job Description: Early Childhood Program Coach

Position Overview: The Early Childhood Program Coach will support and enhance the quality of early childhood education programs. This role involves working closely with educators, administrators, and families to implement best practices in early childhood development and programming. The coach will provide guidance, training, and resources to ensure that young children receive a high-quality, developmentally appropriate education.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Development and Implementation:

  • Collaborate with educators to design and implement effective early childhood education programs.
  • Integrate programming and technology into the curriculum to foster early learning and development.
  • Ensure programs align with state and national early childhood education standards.

Coaching and Mentoring:

  • Provide one-on-one and group coaching sessions to early childhood educators.
  • Offer constructive feedback and support to improve teaching practices and classroom management.
  • Develop and deliver professional development workshops and training sessions.

Assessment and Evaluation:

  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of early childhood programs.
  • Use data and observations to make informed recommendations for program improvements.
  • Assist in the development of assessment tools and strategies to measure child progress and program outcomes.

Family and Community Engagement:

  • Foster strong relationships with families to support children’s learning and development.
  • Organize and participate in community outreach activities to promote early childhood education.
  • Provide resources and support to families to enhance their involvement in their child’s education.

Outreach and Event Planning:

  • Plan and coordinate events to promote early childhood education and programming.
  • Develop outreach strategies to engage community members and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with local organizations and partners to host educational events and workshops.

Resource Management:

  • Identify and procure educational materials and resources to support program goals.
  • Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively to meet program needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in early childhood education or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
  • Experience with integrating technology and programming into early childhood education.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of educators, families, and community members.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with state and national early childhood education standards.
  • Experience in curriculum development and program evaluation.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and software.
  • Event planning and community outreach experience.

Working Conditions:

  • This position will require travel to various early childhood education sites.
  • Flexible working hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, may be required.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
