Job Title: Youth Services Assistant Director
Position Overview: The Youth Services Assistant Director will support the Youth Services Director in managing and executing the comprehensive operation of the YouthBuild and Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP). This role focuses on daily program operations, staff support, and the execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring programs achieve their performance outcomes and maintain compliance with all funding requirements.
Responsibilities:
Program Coordination and Support:
- Assist in the operational management of YouthBuild and YHDP, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and grant specifications.
- Support participant recruitment, eligibility determination, enrollment processes, and retention initiatives.
- Coordinate with program staff to facilitate effective program delivery, ensuring consistent communication and collaboration across teams.
Staff Supervision and Development:
- Provide direct supervision, mentorship, and support to program coordinators, case managers, and other frontline staff.
- Coordinate staff training and professional development opportunities to enhance service delivery quality.
- Address staff concerns, mediate conflicts, and foster a positive, inclusive work environment.
Fiscal and Administrative Assistance:
- Support budget development and monitor expenditures, ensuring adherence to approved budgets and grant requirements.
- Assist with procurement processes, compliance documentation, and timely submission of programmatic and financial reports.
Community and Partnership Engagement:
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with community partners, educational institutions, employers, and other stakeholders.
- Represent Youth Services in community meetings, workgroups, and outreach events in the absence of the Director or as assigned.
Performance Monitoring and Quality Improvement:
- Regularly review and analyze program data to evaluate progress toward performance targets and recommend adjustments to programming as needed.
- Assist in developing and implementing continuous quality improvement strategies and corrective action plans.
Grant and Reporting Support:
- Support the Youth Services Director in identifying and securing additional funding opportunities.
- Contribute to the development of grant applications, reports, and other documentation required by funders and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree in social work, education, youth development, public administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in youth services, workforce development, education, or homeless youth programming.
- Experience with federal grant programs, including compliance, data management, and reporting.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and supervisory skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to trauma-informed care, youth empowerment, and culturally competent service delivery.
Physical Demands and Working Environment:
- Standard office environment with occasional community-based site visits.
- Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends as required by program needs or events.

Salary : $46,000 - $48,000
