Community Preparatory School is seeking a Part-Time Custodial Assistant for our campus located in South Providence. This position will report to, and be supervised by, the Director of Facilities. Our ideal candidate would have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a demonstrated interest or passion for working with underrepresented groups and their families.

Responsibilities:

Below is a list of common responsibilities but is not an exhaustive list. Other duties may be assigned, as needed.

• Floors: Vacuuming, dry mopping, wet mopping. Quarterly stripping and waxing. Carpet spot cleaning.
• Trash removal & light maintenance tasks, as needed
• Outdoor trash and debris removal

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly Rate: $20 per hour
• Weekly Hours: 20 hours per week (up to 5 additional hours occasionally, based on school needs)
• Paid Vacation: 1 weeks paid vacation annually

Candidate Requirements:

We are looking for a friendly, committed and timely individual with:

• Hands-on experience with custodial duties.
• Ability to safely operate floor machines for stripping and waxing.
• Experience with touch-up painting, plastering walls, working with tools, and outdoor tasks.
• A flexible schedule and availability to work one Saturday a month from Spring to Fall.
