Overview
We are an assisted living facility with bed capacity of 13 residents. Most of our residents are independent requiring minimal call light usage. Most residents have mental health issues. We are looking for somebody who is flexible and dependable. We do 12hrs shifts with variable schedule. Previous caregiver experience preferred.
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering personalized care and companionship. This position requires a nurturing attitude, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining the dignity and independence of those you assist.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Observe and report changes in clients' physical and mental health to appropriate personnel.
- Implement care plans tailored to each client's specific needs and preferences.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
- Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs as required.
- Prepare nutritious meals while considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Offer specialized care for individuals with dementia or developmental disabilities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
Experience
Ideal candidates will possess the following skills:
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
- Experience in dementia care or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly valued.
- Strong patient observation skills to recognize changes in client conditions effectively.
- Familiarity with creating and following care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Knowledge of proper meal preparation techniques that cater to dietary requirements.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client privacy is maintained.
