Job Description:
The School Speech Language Pathologist will work under the supervision of the Director of Special Education to provide speech-language therapy services to students in grades K-12. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assessment and intervention, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and parents.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and Evaluate Students: Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify students with communication disorders and develop recommendations for intervention.
- Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Create and implement individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders, including articulation, language, and fluency goals.
- Collaborate with Teachers and Parents: Work closely with teachers and parents to develop and implement strategies to support student progress and communicate regularly with them about student progress.
- Maintain Records and Reports: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, including treatment plans, progress reports, and data analysis.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree or Higher: A master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
- NC Licensure: Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in North Carolina is required.
- Experience: A minimum of one year of experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
