What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Counselor position at Community Rehabilitation Center, Inc.?
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with confidentiality records relating to client's treatment.
- Educate clients on how to complete job applications, prepare for employment interviews and retain employment.
- Encourage clients to express their feelings to help them develop insight into themselves and their relationships.
- Guide clients in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with their problems.
- Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
- Counsel clients individually and in group sessions to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes.
- Collect information about clients through interview, observations, and tests.
- Function as the clients advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.
- Collaborate with other staff members to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans.
- Ability to assess clients physical or mental condition based on review of client information.
- Responsible for updating certifications obtaining any necessary CEU's and training requirements.
- Conduct Bio-Psychosocial Assessments, In-Depth Assessments, Treatment Plans, and Treatment Plan Reviews.
- Review clinical documentation for appropriateness and accuracy.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by management.
- Must be a team player.
Requirements:
Master's degree in a related field - Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, Rehabilitation Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Behavioral Health, Behavioral Sciences, or Nursing or related field.
Essential Functions:
Plan and conduct programs to prevent substance abuse or improve community health and counseling services. Evaluate clients mental condition based on review of client information, interviews, observation, tests, and collaboration with other staff members to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans.
