Job Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on patient age and clinical condition
- Perform patient care considering needs specific to standard of care for patient's age; includes geriatric and general inpatient rehabilitation patients
- Assist with assessment and reassessment of all patients under supervision of R.N.; identify and initiate appropriate rehabilitation nursing interventions
- Perform timely and accurate QI assessments under supervision of R.N.
- Cary out plan of care as indicated by patient's needs and response to treatment; evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness
- Interact professionally with patient/family and involve them in formation of plan of care
- Demonstrate ability to adequately assess and reassess pain; utilize appropriate pain management techniques
Requirements
- Graduate of accredited licensed practical/vocational nurse program
- Current state licensure as Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse
- CPR/BCLS certification; ACLS preferred
- IV Certified or obtained within 6 months highly preferred
- Minimum six months' Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred
