Key Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility and accountability for the care of patients treated by Physical Therapist Assistants and Therapy techs.
- Assess patients' needs, identify and initiate appropriate physical therapy interventions, and work cooperatively with other patient team personnel.
- Observe and evaluate treatment affect, accomplishment of short and long term goals, and recommend change to physician as needed.
- Perform an appropriate assessment on each patient and perform reassessments, as per policy, and accurate and timely QI scoring.
- Assess patient pain interfering with optimal level of function of participation in rehabilitation and make appropriate interventions.
- Formulate and update patient specific plan of care for physical therapy.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state where the hospital is located.
- Inpatient rehab experience preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR Card.
