Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Support clients with mobility and physical tasks, including lifting when necessary.
- Assist with medication reminders and basic health monitoring as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with other caregivers, nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred; experience in hospice care or memory care is a plus.
- Knowledge of working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly valued.
- Ability to cook nutritious meals tailored to client dietary needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients.
- Physical ability to lift clients safely and assist them with mobility as needed.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid or willingness to obtain certification upon hiring is advantageous.
