The Residence Manager reports directly to the Senior Team Leader/Residential Coordinator. Responsible for providing oversight and efficient operation of residential settings serving the people we support in accordance with CRSI and Medicaid Policies, and OPWDD Regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
- Assure all staff provide ongoing protective oversight to the people we support.
- 24/7 On-Call Accessibility
- Responsible for staff scheduling, FTE and budget management, staff training, staff supervision and other personnel related matters.
- Assure all staff provide assistance and instruction for each person we support in basic activities of daily living.
- Assure and provide training and support for each person we support in accordance with the person’s program plan.
- Be available to all staff for coaching, observation, and staff evaluation with a focus on Person Centered Supports
- Participate in the recruitment, retention and evaluation of staff and complete staff performance evaluations in a timely manner.
- Act as team leader/QIDP responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing and monitoring all program services and personal outcomes.
- Participate as required in all Life Plan meetings and OPWDD surveys.
- Successfully complete and maintain all certifications (AMAP, SCIP, CPR)
- Lifting is required which may include a 2-person transfer, laundry, groceries, etc.
- Mandated reporter required to cooperate with any, and all investigations.
- Drive agency vehicles equipped with GPS monitoring system and demonstrate safe driving practices;
- Ensure cleanliness of vehicles and address any maintenance issues; Maintain vehicle logs.
- Responsible for NYS Vehicle Inspection and all routine maintenance of agency vehicles
- Conduct road tests with current employees on agency vehicles in accordance with the agency road test procedures.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment including weekly walk-throughs and quarterly report submissions.
- Properly use and maintain household equipment, appliances and lifts.
- Assure compliance with all Life Safety regulations and maintain agency standards for a clean, organized, and comfortable residential environment.
Pay Rate: 66,400 annually.
Qualifications
- High-School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree in the Human Service field preferred
- Two years’ experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
- One year’s supervisory experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid NY State Driver’s License required.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment road test and drive an agency vehicle.
Salary : $66,400
