The Residence Manager reports directly to the Residence Coordinator. Responsible for providing oversight of a home serving the people we support.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
- Provide ongoing protective oversight to the people we support.
- 24/7 On-Call Accessibility
- Responsible for scheduling, training of residential staff, supervising, personnel related issues and other tasks
- Provide assistance and instruction for each person we support in basic activities of daily living.
- Provide training and support for each person we support in accordance with persons program plan.
- Be available to all staff for coaching and observation around Person Centered Supports
- Participate in the selection and evaluation of staff.
- Complete staff performance evaluations
- Act as team leader/QIDP responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing and monitoring all program services and personal outcomes.
- Participate as required at all IDT or Life Plan meetings and OPWDD surveys Successfully completion and maintenance of all certifications (AMAP, SCIP, CPR)
- Lifting is required which may include a 2-person transfer, laundry, groceries, etc.
- Mandated reporter required to cooperate with any and all investigations.
- Drive agency vehicles equipped with GPS monitoring system and demonstrated safe driving practices;
Ensure cleanliness of vehicles and address any maintenance issues; Maintain vehicle logs.
- Responsible for NYS Vehicle Inspection and all routine maintenance of agency vehicles
- Conduct road tests with current employees on agency's vehicle in accordance with agency road test procedures.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment including weekly walk-throughs.
- Properly use and maintain household equipment, appliances and lifts
- Attend all required meetings and trainings on time and prepared
- Ensure for adherence to agency quality standards of operation; make decisions in conjunction with the Director of Residential Services that drive operational processes
- Become skilled with agency software (Evero, Outlook, ADP etc.)
- Responsible for adhering to agency policies (Cash Policy, Evero Attestation etc.)
- Assist the people we support in planning, coordinating and attending community integration/inclusion activities within their homes and community
- Establish and maintain professional, positive relationships with the people support, families, team members and outside service providers
- Adhere to paperwork time frame submissions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Pay Rate: 62,400 annually.
Qualifications
- High-School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree in the Human Service field preferred
- Two years’ experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
- One year’s supervisory experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid NY State Driver’s License required.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment road test and drive an agency vehicle.
Salary : $62,400
