Daily Substitute Teacher
We are seeking a Daily Substitute Teacher(s) to join our team. If you are passionate about education and enjoy working with students, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Follow lesson plans left by the absent teacher
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment
- Provide instruction and support to students as needed
- Communicate with school staff and administration as necessary
- Complete required paperwork and documentation
- Ensure the safety of all students in class
Requirements:
- Flexible schedule and availability to work on short notice
- Organized and able to manage multiple tasks
- Basic computer skills
- Experience in a school setting
- Able to pass state and FBI background checks
- High School diploma required, some college or degree preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand and walk often
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time
- Lifting, pulling, pushing and reaching occasionally
- Must be able to climb, crawl, bend and stoop occasionally
- Must be able to communicate well both verbally and in writing
Work Environment:
Typical school environment, maybe noisy during high student traffic times. Temperatures may change from very hot to very cold based on location of instruction and weather.
Additional Information:
- Position is not benefit eligible
- Schedule is "on call" but may be needed for multiple days in a row
- May work at Elementary, Middle or High School
