The Community Service Board of Middle Georgia's Autism Program is seeking a qualified individual to serve as our next Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The selected candidate will be responsible for providing necessary support and training to direct support professionals, ABA implementers, and other individuals who may also support the families that we serve.
Responsibilities of the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) :
Functions in a supervisory capacity and provides oversight to all areas of programming including but not limited to the training of direct support professionals, person centered strategies consultants (if applicable) and DSP TrainersAssists in the development, facilitation, and follow-up training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), using both discrete trial training and natural environment training models of teachingFacilitates and assists in the development and identification of resources and support information for clients and their familiesProvide model teaching and other direct instructional support, including but not limited to, practicum supervision / teaching, class instruction and in-service instruction to other support professionalsAssists in the development and implementation of assessment tools, to conduct functional assessmentsAnalyses when appropriate, and to develop appropriate behavior strategies to teach appropriate behavior and reduce maladaptive behaviorsProvides ongoing training and supervision of paraprofessional staff in implementation of ABA principles and methodology and behavior reduction strategiesCreates ongoing data collection systems to establish baseline and programmatic efficacy for all consumers, analyzing data on an ongoing basis to guide programmingDevelops behavior plans / treatment plans for all consumers with a focus on teaching and other antecedent strategies for reducing problematic behaviorMeet as needed with supervised staff to discuss ongoing consumer issues and to provide support when necessaryReview and sign off on behavior plan / treatment plan training for all field staff and provide field supervision when necessaryProvide consultative services and maintains ongoing communication with all other constituents (Ex. Other Support, parents, community, and community agencies)Keeps current with new literature, research findings and resources, in addition to continuing education courses to maintaining BCBA certification.Maintain all data, paperwork, and communication between personal care staff and families, and submits required documentation in accordance to program guidelinesOther duties as assignedHere are some of the things we require :
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field of studyActive board certification from the BACBComfortability with conflict and skilled in conflict resolutionValid Georgia Driver’s LicenseEffective verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse communitiesAbility to work independently and in collaboration with othersExperience with Microsoft 365 Office ProductsAbility to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines accordinglyHere’s what would put you over the top :
