LOCATION: Dublin, Georgia
The Community Service Board of Middle Georgia's SPIRIT program is seeking a qualified individual to serve as our next Client Support Worker. S.P.I.R.I.T. is a peer-led day program designed to help dual-diagnosed individuals build life improvement skills, develop interpersonal skills, and help practice self-awareness. The program is designed to serve those who carry both a behavioral health and developmental disability diagnosis. We are dedicated to providing those we serve with quality innovative behavioral health care in a recovery-based environment. The Client Support Worker will be responsible for providing care and assistance to adults with diagnosed intellectual and developmental disabilities, ensuring that they have the proper care needed throughout the day and in everyday activities. The selected candidate will also be responsible for keeping up to date progress notes on the individuals they work with, to ensure that the program manager has the proper knowledge to advise families and senior leadership on necessary next steps.
Responsibilities of the Client Support Worker:
- Provides 6 hours of supervised person-centered time for the individuals in Peer Group Intervention services
- Monitors individuals at all times, ensuring that they are never left unattended
- Creates documentation and progress notes as required
- Maintains the neatness and cleanliness of all program individuals
- Supervises individuals during their mealtimes to prevent choking and unsafe conditions
- Assists with food preparation as needed
- Assists with all toiletry needs and/or situations
- Report any abuse/neglect of individuals to the Program Supervisor/Manager as a mandated reporter
- Assists with treatment plans and goal creation
- Create and execute monthly activity schedule
- Perform safety drills as required
- Transport individual to and from appointment, day service, out in the community, home visits, and etc.
- All other duties as assigned

- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
- Valid Georgia Driver’s License
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse communities
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Office Products
- Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines accordingly
Here’s what would put you over the top:
- Previous experience being a personal care assistant or certified nursing assistant
