What are the responsibilities and job description for the ERSEA Supervisor, Head Start position at Community Services Agency?
The Head Start ERSEA Supervisor supports all aspects of ERSEA in accord with the Head Start Performance Standards and the Head Start Act. ERSEA is the acronym for Enrollment, Recruitment, Selection, Eligibility and Attendance. Knowledge of all the collection and input of child plus data to establish and maintain enrollment for the Head Start program as prescribed in the Head Start Performance Standards. Ensures the eligibility of all enrolled children through monitoring of eligibility forms. Assists in creating processes and procedures for Enrollment, monitors compliance and trains and oversees the work of enrollment clerks. Performs data analysis of ERSEA trends and makes recommendations to ensure full enrollment, class schedules as well as program configurations that best meet the needs of enrolled families. Develops and implements robust community outreach plans.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for ERSEA
Manages the enrollment of CSA Head Start and Early Head Start while adhering to the Head Start Performance Standards at all times;
Hires, directs, trains and supervises ERSEA staff ensuring all staff are meeting federal performance standards.
Effectively presents information and responds to questions, common inquiries or complaints from managers, customers, committees, and the general public regarding program information related to enrollment and program options;
Maintains enrollment and intake workflow and makes enrollment decisions
Distributes customers and customer information to classroom team; maintains accurate information in Program database;
Attends workshops, seminars and classes to maintain knowledge of current information and enrollment policies as they pertain to CSA Head Start programs;
Advises Head Start Director on pertinent issues as they pertain to staff, parents, and the proficient functioning of ERSEA;
Develops annual enrollment packets; assists in developing outreach and recruitment plans and related materials;
Conducts ERSEA monitoring activities and reports on enrollment;
Works in collaboration with Mental Health and Disabilities Coordinator to appropriately place special needs children;
Performs other duties as may be assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS
Ability to:
· Work effectively as part of a team, uphold professional boundaries and confidentiality concerning customers, staff and associates of CSA and CSA Head Start;
· Strong Microsoft Office and other computer skills including but not limited to maintaining excel spreadsheets and using Adobe Acrobat; Maintain effective and precise logs and records;
· Troubleshoot when necessary and display attention to detail;
· Read, analyze and interpret government regulations, technical procedures and assorted journals;
· Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in oral, written, diagram or schedule form;
· Write or create reports, procedure manuals, newsletters and other assorted business communications as necessary;
· Utilize effective time management skills and work on multiple projects simultaneously;
· Maintain effective relationships with those contacted on the job;
· Travel moderately, as the job requires.

4 Year Degree

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires the following: ability to exert some physical effort, such as walking, standing and occasionally lifting/moving up to 35 lbs.; minimal dexterity in the use of fingers, limbs and body in the operation of the office equipment; extended periods of time sitting in front of a computer.
