Family Advocate - $21.21 hr ($22.27 Bi-lingual, English/Spanish)
Head Start provides a free preschool education to children ages three to five years old in a nurturing learning environment that includes parents as important resources for their children's learning. We focus on the "whole child" and include as part of our program the child's educational, health, family, and social needs. Our Family Advocate's empower parents and staff as team members in a comprehensive approach to child development and self-sufficiency.

Minimum Requirements
Associate or Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in related field and a minimum of one year experience working with adults in a coaching or counseling capacity); or any equivalent combination of experience and education that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Bilingual English/Spanish and previous Head Start experience highly preferred.
College transcripts must be provided at the time of application or prior to job offer to ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards. In addition, must possess and maintain a valid Oregon driver's license, Food Handlers certification, First Aid and CPR certification, TB/Tuberculin test results, health verification form and enrollment in Oregon Child Care Division Criminal History Registry.
