About the Role
The Behavioral Support Specialist at Community Services for Autistic Adults & Children will provide educational support services to day and residential students. The specialist will develop behavior management plans, provide behavioral consultation, and implement programming to meet individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop systems for implementing programming, including behavior supports programming, instructional programming, and modifying those systems when necessary
- Provide behavior management consultation to school residential coordinators, school administrators, and teachers
- Assist in intake process for new students coming to CSM
- Design treatment strategies for use in behavioral and instructional programming
- Assist teachers and school residential coordinators in developing behavioral and instructional goals for individuals served
- Conduct functional behavior assessments and life skills assessments
- Create function-based behavior plans
- Write behavior reports for the IEP team
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have a Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field, active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) national certification, and Behavior Analyst License in the State of Maryland (LBA). You should also have minimum five years' experience providing services as BCBA and designing behavior management plans for individuals with developmental disabilities.
