Community Services for Children is seeking a highly motivated professional with leadership experience for a rewarding career as an Early Childhood Development Manager. This position manages Early Head Start Home-Based Program services and initiatives. It serves to strengthen the well-being of families and children through the engagement of staff and parents in a partnership for growth, development, and school readiness.

Newly hired staff members will receive a $1000 net monetary incentive upon completion of probation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise designated staff, classrooms, and special programs.
- Lead and ensure staff implementation of educational philosophy and curriculum, and Head Start Performance Standards to meet children’s social emotional development (mental health) and developmental needs.
- Ensure opportunities for staff development, facilitate staff groups, coordinate training, and model best practices for early childhood education.
- Coordinate comprehensive service delivery with Early Head Start Center based, and other areas of the Head Start program including Family Engagement, Transportation, and Early Education.
- Independently problem-solve child, parent, and staff issues.
- Perform regular observations of staff in both the home and group socialization setting to assess job performance and provide feedback in order to achieve program outcomes and professional growth.
- Complete indicated daily, monthly reports, and indicated data collection.
- Maintain systems, documentation, and evaluation/analysis of services and service delivery systems to assure the delivery of high quality services and quality improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Early Childhood Education or Human Services.
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, and families.
- Knowledge of pregnancy, Infant/Toddler development, parenting, dual language learners, and children with disabilities.
- Experience and demonstrated competence in leadership, program management, and implementation of service elements in accordance with state/federal requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in supervising staff.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with effective organization and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with individuals of varying economic, educational, and cultural backgrounds.
- Valid driver’s license and use of a vehicle for local travel.
