Summary
As a Community Based Therapist, you are responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to individuals and their families. You will also participate actively in all relevant team, supervision, and general staff meetings, to enhance the services of Community Services Group.
This position is part of our Youth Mental Health (MH) Services Youth Firesetting Assessment Consultation Treatment Services (YFACTS). YFACTS specifically addresses the needs of children and adolescents who engage in the inappropriate use of fire. Services are based on a comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and desired outcome. YFACTS provides safety and crisis planning, fire safety education for the child or adolescent and their family, relapse prevention planning, as well as individual therapy, family therapy, and caregiver sessions.
Full-time position (40 hrs/wk) Monday to Friday - Day hours with 2 to 3 evenings per week as needed.
Clinical supervision hours for employees seeking licensure.
Works closely with other clinicians throughout initial training. Training includes Youth Firesetting Intervention Specialist (YFIS) Level 1 certification within 6 months of hire.
Travel within Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, and Perry counties is required to provide services to families.

Starting salary (negotiable based on relevant experience): Unlicensed - $50,000/yr., Licensed - $52,000/yr.

Job Description
- Providing individual and family counseling services to children, adolescents, and families in the home, school, and community settings.
- Working closely with other mental health specialists, such as psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, case managers, psychiatric nurses, school counselors, and behavioral health providers.
- Documenting work in accordance with company standards in the areas of diagnostic evaluations, progress notes, treatment plans, discharge procedures, and other consumer related activities.
- Working closely with Fire Science and Safety Consultant (FSSC) and other community team members to assure clear communication and team consistency.
- Traveling within Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, and Perry counties to provide services to the families.
- Participating in regular clinical supervision and continued educational activities to further develop professional skills. Will complete Youth Firesetting Intervention Specialist (YFIS) Level 1 certification following hire as available in PA.
Must have one of the following:
- Master's Degree with at least nine credits specific to clinical practice in psychology, social work or counseling from an accredited college or university or an equivalent degree from a foreign college or university and have a minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in providing mental health direct services to children, youth or young adults; OR
- Master's Degree with at least nine credits specific to clinical practice in psychology, social work, education, counseling or a related field from an accredited college or university or have an equivalent degree from a foreign college or university and have completed a clinical or mental health direct service practicum; OR
- Licensed in PA as a Social Worker (LSW) or Behavior Specialist (LBS) and have a graduate degree that required a clinical or mental health direct service practicum; OR
- Licensed in PA as a Professional Counselor (LPC), Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
- Able to work flexible hours to meet individual's and program's needs.
- Have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle to attend trainings and meetings.
- Have the ability to obtain clearances as defined by regulations.
