Summary:
The Mobile Mental Health (MH)/Intellectual Developmental (ID) Behavioral Intervention Services Nurse is part of a treatment team that is crucial in developing and implementing appropriate treatment plans and methodologies for individuals with ID and MH Disorders. As part of an interdisciplinary team, the Mobile MH/ID Behavioral Intervention Services Nurse, will collect and analyze data, provide resources and skill building sessions to enhance the knowledge of others on the treatment team, and monitor the behavioral, psychotherapeutic, and psychopharmacological interventions used by the team. The Mobile MH/ID Behavioral Intervention Services Nurse reports directly to the Mobile MH/ID Behavioral Intervention Services Coordinator.This position is part of our Adult Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) Behavioral Support Services. Service area includes Cumberland, Dauphin, and Perry Counties.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, PRN flexible.

Starting wage: $26.00 per hourJob Description:
Work with individuals, families, groups, and significant others to assess emotional, social, and physical health needs to provide input into the development of appropriate treatment / behavior plans.
Create and facilitate skill building presentations on mental health, medical illness and genetic disorders that affect individuals’ behavior, such as Fragile X, Williams Syndrome, Schizoaffective Disorder, Diabetes, etc.
Complete bio-psycho-social assessments and initial intensity of needs list.
Complete biographical timeline as needed.
Communicate with an individual's psychiatrist and medical teams.
Conduct comprehensive medication reviews and lifetime medical reviews.
Educate the individual and support team on medications, side effects, and following prescribed regimen
Work as part of a treatment team in developing, implementing, and evaluating behavioral interventions.
Collect and analyze psychiatric symptom data.
Attend psychiatric, neurological, and medical appointments for individuals on caseload.
Creating psychiatric PRN protocols.
Assist Mobile MH/ID Behavioral Intervention Clinician with multi-modal assessments, intake and discharges processes.
Have knowledge of the theoretical foundations of normal and abnormal psychology, psychophysiology, and psychopharmacology.
Have knowledge of and experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating behavioral interventions.
Demonstrate ability to assess interactions among the individual, family, community, and social systems and their relationship to mental health functioning.
Demonstrate the ability to share or lead in the multidisciplinary team process.
Have knowledge of the uses and effects of psychotropic drugs and narcotics, safety practices, and location security.
Qualifications:
This position requires one of the following combinations of education and experience:
Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Pennsylvania with one year of experience and documented psychiatric experience.
OR
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Pennsylvania with four years of experience and documented psychiatric experience.
Have experience serving individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
Have experience serving individuals with mental illness.
Additional requirements include:
Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle to attend trainings, meetings, and/or transport individuals to appointments.
