Forest Grove! Swing Shift DSP; Thursday - Saturday; 1200pm - 1000pm; 30 hours per week; full-time position with great benefits!
We are seeking compassionate, dedicated and caring individuals to join our team here at Community Services, Inc. (CSI), as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), to provide care and support for individuals with disabilities. DSPs are the foundation of CSI’s services in the Portland area.
As a DSP, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of individuals, by assisting them in various aspects of daily living, promoting independence, while fostering a supportive, safe and inclusive environment.
What you will do as a DSP:
Ultimately, the goal is to help the people you support, feel and become as independent as possible, while they live their daily lives. Among other things, you will:
- Support individuals in developing life skills, such as communication, self-care, and household management.
- Engage and encourage participation in recreational and social activities to foster a fun environment.
- Being a problem solver is a key part of your role, as you navigate challenges with grace and integrity.
- Provide advocacy and support to individuals with disabilities in accessing community resources and services.
- Each shift you work, presents new opportunities to make a difference in the lives of those you serve.
- Implement individualized care plans and behavior support plans as outlined by supervisors, healthcare professionals, and the individual’s support team.
- DSPs are responsible for protecting and promoting the health, safety, and well-being of each individual in their care.
- Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures governing the provision of services to individuals with disabilities.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age
- No experience, don’t worry – we’ll train you!
- High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required
- Acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license required for day and swing positions
- Acceptable background check
