Schedule and Location
Shifts vary Monday through Sunday at the Fitness and Aquatic Center. Flexible scheduling!
Typical Shifts include:
Weekday School Year:
**Note: Shift differential pay from Monday - Friday from 5-11am!
- 5-7am
- 7am-12pm
- 3-6pm
- 6-9pm
Weekday Summer:
- 5-8am
- 8am-12pm
- 12-4pm
- 4-8pm
Typical weekend shifts during the school-year include:
- 7am-12pm
- 12-5pm
Typical weekend shifts during the summer:
- 7-11am
- 11am-3pm
Description
- Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility
- Able to act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency
- Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services
- Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service
- Attends mandatory meetings and training sessions as scheduled
- Maintains a clean facility performing house cleaning duties
- All other duties as assigned and appropriate
Qualifications
- 15 years of age and older
- Ability to work independently and possess energy and enthusiasm
- Ability to positively interact with co-workers and the general public
- Punctual, responsible and self-motivated
- Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (required)
Training & Certification
Lifeguard certification classes are held at the Fitness and Aquatic Center seasonally. Check Community Education for upcoming classes. The cost of certification is fully reimbursed after 6 months of employment at the Fitness and Aquatic Center.
