About the Position
This position will work the Weatherization Assistance Program inside of the Division of Community Services and will be responsible for the following duties: Analyzing Monthly and Quarterly Reports and submitting them to the Program and Division Director. Reviewing, analyzing and processing subgrants/modifications for the Dept. Of Energy's Weatherization Assistance Programs and the LIHEAP WX programs for the division. Assisting in preparing the DOE WX State Plans, LIHEAP WX State Plans, Notice of Funding Availability (NOFAs) for WX Subgrantees (similar to Request for Proposals-RFPs), state and federal reports for both programs. Annual filings with the MS Attorney General's Office and MS Secretary of State's Office. Oversees the reviews and enter reports into the DOE WX Performance and Accountability for Grants in Energy (PAGE). Assisting Program Director in Administrative training for Community Services staff and WX Subgrantees on WX policies, procedures, rules and regulations as well as participate in trainings offered by DOE WX. Staying abreast of all WX policies and procedures, notifications and maintaining accurate files for the program. Serves in the absence of the WX Program Director on Administrative issues/concerns. And other related or similar duties as required or assigned. **This is a non-state service, time-limited position with The Mississippi Department of Human Services.**
What you'll need to be Successful
Excellent written and oral communication skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and demonstrable experience in completing programmatic reviews. Demonstrate the ability to research and solve complex issues. Ability to maintain confidentiality and develop and maintain relationships.
