Community Servings is a non-profit food and nutrition program focused on the nutritional needs of underserved populations across the state. Over the past 35 years, we have delivered over 15 million free, scratch-made meals to individuals experiencing chronic and critical illnesses in the context of medical nutrition therapy.

 

Summary: The Grants Coordinator will support the agency’s robust grants fundraising program and report to the Senior Grants Manager. This hybrid role will work closely with the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Government Grants Manager and will be responsible for assisting with recording and acknowledging grants and organizational gifts, conducting grant research, developing and managing a portfolio of small to mid-size grants, including prospect research, proposal writing, reporting, funder stewardship, and related grant administration. The Grants Coordinator will support the overall grant revenue goals and growth potential of the Community Servings grants program, which will raise over $6M from corporate and foundation grant partners in fiscal year 2026.

Grants Research, Administration & Support

  • Works directly with the Senior Grants Manager and Director of Strategic Partnerships to ensure proper acknowledgment and reporting of all grant funding. 
  • Supports overall grants administration and the expansion of the agency’s grants program. 
  • Conduct prospect and funder research for new grant opportunities to inform grant strategy.  
  • Develop written profiles of funders to prepare program/development staff and leadership for grants-related meetings.
  • Prepares small to mid-sized grant proposals for submission. 
  • Processes foundation and corporate grants, including data entry of grants (physical checks, EFT gifts). 
  • Codes and tracks grants in the SalesForce database. 
  • Prepares grant-related reports and acknowledgment letters. 
  • Ensures proper filing of paperwork for corporation, foundation, and organizational grants. 
  • Updates SalesForce database with changes to contact information and grant coding. 
  • Maintains grant-admin-related boards on Monday.com
  • Collaborate with Community Servings’ Communications Team to ensure appropriate recognition of funders.  
  • Coordinate restricted grant reports and provide audit support to the Finance Team. 

 

Grant Writing: 

  • Work directly with the Senior Grants Manager and Director of Strategic Partnerships to write, prepare, and submit small to mid-sized corporate and foundation grant proposals for both unrestricted operating revenue and restricted programs, meeting deadlines for a robust grant schedule.   
  • Submit timely and accurate grant reporting (progress/interim reports, year-end, financial reporting, program data, and special reports as required).  
  • Support the management of an internal grants deadline calendar.  
  • Prepare grant program budgets in collaboration with the Senior Grants Manager 

 

Relationship Development & Stewardship Support:  

  • Provides support for funder meetings, virtual and in-person.
  • When needed, attends off-site and virtual funder informational sessions and funder events. 
  • Establish and maintain current information and contacts, and, where appropriate, manage relationships with small grant foundation, corporate, and program officer representatives.  
  • Supports stewardship activities with the Senior Grants Manager and Director of Strategic Partnerships. 
  • Track key funder stewardship/cultivation next steps and grant program administrative tasks in project management software.  

 

Qualifications:

  • Commitment to Community Servings’ mission and programs 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, Excel, DropBox, SalesForce, and Monday.com
  • Self-directed and able to meet multiple, concurrent deadlines under pressure
  • Ability to accept and manage fluctuating priorities with a positive and energetic attitude
  • Ability to effectively present Community Servings’ program information and respond to questions from funders 
  • Enjoy working in a collaborative team environment


Experience

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • SalesForce and Monday.com experience preferred
