Job Title: Business Data Analyst I
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Position Purpose: The Business Data Analyst I uses data analytics to identify effective ways of enhancing performance measurements and improving organizational efficiency and will assist with the budgeting and financial reporting process. The Business Data Analyst I gathers internal and external data and organizes it, such as by department or individual, to provide regular updates to stakeholders and provide data-driven insight related to business performance.

Job Requirements
Education: A 4-year college degree in Data Analytics, Finance, or related field normally required.
Experience: A minimum of one to two (1-2) years of bank data or business analytics experience, as well as Finance/Accounting experience, normally required. Experience with Fiserv systems preferred.
Skills: Strong, professional verbal and written communication skills; ability to type at least 40 wpm; proficiency with Microsoft software such as Power BI, Forms, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; demonstrated ability to create successful visual presentations to individuals and groups; strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines; working knowledge of data collection, analysis, and evaluation; acute attention to detail; fluent communication in the English language.

General Expectations
- Maintain awareness of what is required to achieve and maintain profitability for the bank
- Develop a proficient understanding of the Bank’s strategic plans, objectives, and challenges by interacting and collaborating with business line leaders and other stakeholders.
- Assists the CFO with the budgeting process, including preparing and populating budget reports and other financial reports.
- Accurately analyzes bank financial data for timely creation of regular business metric reports in a clear and understandable format.
- Effectively uses finance and accounting knowledge to identify and correct errors in financial data and reports as needed.
- Coordinate with managers to assess business issues, gather and define requirements, and write effective and detailed business goals.
- Effectively translate business needs into specifications to be used in partnership with department leaders and Senior Management to create dashboards and measurements for identified KPIs organizational goals.
- Prepare accurate Board reports, including identified KPI metrics, on a monthly basis, or other frequency as assigned.
- Assist in developing business plans that focus on market analysis and strategy.
- Create a database to track analysis and information.
- Review and analyze customer information; transform information into specifications to be used for business development and corporate decision making.
- Write core system reports as needed to enable extraction of necessary data, defining new data when necessary.
- Propose innovative solutions related to increasing effectiveness or performance in areas such as marketing, product development and integration, loan and deposit growth, budget tracking, and business operations.
- Prepare accurate and effective presentations for staff, senior management, and the Board.
- Exhibit a strong commitment to accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail all job areas.
Compliance/Other Expectations
- Learn and comply with all applicable banking regulations and related procedures, including Reg B, Reg P, Bank Secrecy Act, etc.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
