Janitorial Supervisor Part-Time (evenings)

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Janitorial supervisor to oversee a janitorial crew of 3-4 adults with disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in custodial services, and a passion for teaching cleaning and life skills. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure that all areas are well-maintained, safe, and welcoming for staff and visitors alike. This position will be part-time evenings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Perform floor care duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing, and waxing to ensure surfaces are clean and presentable.
• Oversee daily custodial operations and manage a team of custodians to ensure efficient workflow.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify safety hazards.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff for any repairs or upkeep required within the facility.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; order replacements as necessary.
• At times may be asked to assist with recreational activities.

Experience

• Proven experience in custodial services is essential.
• Familiarity with some industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is preferred.
• Skills in floor care practices including buffing and waxing are desirable but not required.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals and equipment usage is important.
