Function:
This position will report directly to the Executive Director, working independently, performing a wide range of complex confidential administrative, and managing various program duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have 3 consecutive years of employment as a program/project manager position, preferably with the same company
- Must have managed or have actively participated in the project management process.
- Must have a willingness to learn, accept training, and be able to seek selfhelp.
- Must have worked in a small group environment to build cohesiveness, team morale, and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Ideal candidate will have demonstrated program/project management experience, excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as posse creative problem solving skills.
- Active NC driver’s license, current auto liability insurance, and reliable transportation. Driving and travel is required with travel reimbursements provided for lodging, food, gas, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Take part and conduct the project management process, initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing out of assigned project(s)/program(s).
- Participate in researching, assembling, submissions, and followup of RFPs and restricted opportunities necessary to adequate support and expand CTA services.
- Prepare, assemble, submit project and/or program budgets for assigned CTA initiative.
- Engage in the hiring process, including writing job descriptions, reviewing candidates, scheduling interviews, interviewing, and make recommendation for hiring of ideal candidate(s) to advance to duties set forth in the respective program/ project.
- Work to prepare, revise and submit a schedule of tasks linked to milestones and benchmarks via CTA’s Team Gantt project management software.
- Work with and provide technical assistance to marginalized persons to aid in improving the quality of life and empower to become leaders.
- Support CTA mission and programs
- Participate in CTA’s educational, family relief and longterm recovery areas of work to support the organizations vision and values.
- Work closely with CTA’s other Program Manager to assist when needed to completing programrelated activities
- Attend conference and continuing educational opportunities to enhance CTA’s delivery of services.
Technology and Software Experience Requirements:
- Preferred candidate shall be proficient in a mac platform (desktop, and laptop) environment.
- Preferred candidate shall have working and competent knowledge of the following software’s in a mac environment Microsoft Office (word, excel, outlook, PowerPoint) version 16 or higher, adobe acrobat pro version 2025 or higher.
- Preference will be given to the candidate who can demonstrate excellent performance on google or safari’s environment specifically for google drive, excel, word and slides, as well as a working knowledge of Canva.
- Preferred candidate must be willing to work to improve existing systems performance
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods to time throughout the day
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to bend and stoop
Benefits:
- Hired candidates will have a mandatory 60 day work performance requirement.
- Dental and health insurance begins in the 1st day of the month after 30 days of employment

- $25k death insurance is available for FTE employees only at $0 cost to FTE,
- Reimbursement for travel expenses gas, hotel and meals are awarded based on prior approval.
Cover Letter Submission Requirement:
- cover letter is required and must clearly provide candidates demonstrated experience and expertise for project management (initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and close out).
- Cover letter must be no more than 275 words for the description, single spaced, 12 font times new Roman, and 1 inch borders all around.
Resume Submission Requirement:
- Resume must be no longer than 2 pages with clear start and end dates for education, work experience, and work position indicated. Candidate will be disqualified if longer than 2 pages.
- Resume included an educational section and must indicate college, and degree (B, M).
- Resume must provide a technology and software’s expertise section indicating specific description along indicating the level of “expert knowledge or familiar knowledge.”
- Resume must provide a work experience section job title, work position, a description of duties and or responsibilities as it relates to program/project management only. Work experience must be within the past three years.
- Resume must have a work environment section demonstrate where, how and the impact you contributed to your previous or current work team. No more than 2 sentences per description. This section is the last section provided on your resume.
- Resume format must follow 1) education, technology and software expertise, experience, and work environment.
