Job Description
The Community Therapeutic Day School is a well established therapeutic and educational program for children ages 3-12 with neurologic and emotional challenges. The Special Educators here are integral members of the clinical team. Experience with complex children in a therapeutic setting, IEP development, case management and the desire to be part of a co-teaching team are essential elements of this position. This position is 40 hours with full benefits. We are seeking a thoughtful person experienced in working with children and families in a dynamic therapeutic milieu and someone who will work compassionately and reflectively with children and their families.
Qualifications:
Must have a Master's Degree and Certification in Education, Special Education in Moderate or Severe Special Needs (pre k-8) Please include Massachusetts certification #
Responsibilities:
Case Management
Interface with families, integrate the curriculum and provide training with Learning Specialists
Design, implement and document curriculum in accordance with the CORE curriculum
Attend Clinical meetings to review educational and clinical progress
Research, order and help organize curriculum programs/materials and support teacher materials
Report writing / IEP / Progress Reports / Assessments / Evaluations
Meet with Learning specialists
Implement core curriculum in classrooms
MCAS planning, support, and Core curriculum
Salary : $65,000
