Driver

We are seeking compassionate and responsible drivers to transport clients to and from their day programs. As a driver with our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients.

Requirements:

• Pass a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) and Sex Offender Registry Information (SORI) check
• Maintain a excellent driving record for the past 7 years
• Complete mandatory training programs, including:
• Sexual Harassment Training
• Wheelchair Training
• Consumer Sensitivity Training
• Pass a physical exam to ensure ability to perform the duties of the job
• Pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport special needs clients to and from their day programs
• Assist clients with boarding and exiting the vehicle, as needed
• Provide a supportive and respectful environment for clients
• Maintain accurate records of client transportation and any incidents that may occur
• Collaborate with day program staff to ensure smooth transitions and address any client needs

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to assist clients, as needed
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassion and empathy for working with special needs clients

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.75 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 35 per week

• Morning shift

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
