About the Role
Community Trust Bank is seeking a highly skilled Loan Processing Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our loan origination department, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth processing of retail loans.
Key Responsibilities
- Loan Origination: Originate and process retail loans from application to closure, maintaining open communication with customers throughout the process.
- Document Review: Prepare and review pre-disclosure and closing documents using our computer system, working closely with other departments as needed.
- Delinquency Management: Analyze delinquent loans, report findings, and collaborate with the collection department to ensure timely resolution.
- Administrative Support: Assist with answering phone calls and opening safety deposit boxes as necessary.
- Mortgage Review: Review mortgages from various branches, retain title fee proceeds, request documentation, and forward mortgage for recording purposes.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of bank policies and procedures related to the Bank Secrecy Act and other relevant anti-money laundering regulations.
- Compliance: Ensure all actions comply with government regulations and organizational policies.
Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field such as finance, economics, English, business law, marketing, statistics, etc.
- Experience: Over six months to one year of experience in a similar role.
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong PC skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and loan software, excellent organizational abilities and analytical skills.
- Certifications: Notary Public certification, insurance license, valid driver's license, a valid NMLS number (obtained within the first 30 days of employment), and completion of annual mandatory SAFE Act training through Regulatory University.
