Nurse Aide Trainee Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Nurse Aide Trainee to join our team at Community Wellness Partners. As a Nurse Aide Trainee, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist nursing staff with various duties on various units by assignment.
- Provide housekeeping to resident rooms as needed, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
- Assist with transferring residents using mechanical lifts as a second assist.
- Document numerical information into the kiosk, such as meal intakes and fluid passes.
- Provide companionship to residents in need, including listening and conversing, and offering activities such as card playing and reading.
- Accompany residents to outside medical appointments as deemed appropriate by the Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse/DON.
- Answer call lights and provide assistance if able or notify nursing staff of resident needs.
Requirements:
- High School graduate preferred.
- No experience necessary.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
- Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times, angry people within the facility.
- Must follow all infection control policies and procedures.
- Must be aware of all abuse reporting requirements.
- Must attend all education/in-services required of the nursing department.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.
- Must be in good health, be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of this position.

Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to LCCN/Presbyterian policies and HIPAA regulations governing the confidentiality and security of protected health information for both manual and electronic resident records, charts, information, and other confidential information.
