TITLE: Speech Language Pathologist
TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Per-Diem
Schedule: Monday-Friday, hours based on caseload
Position Concept: The (SLP) provides assessment, treatment, counseling and rehabilitation of individuals for maximum retention or enhancement of expressive and receptive language skills and eating skills
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Screening and/or diagnostic tests related to articulation, receptive/expressive language, voice, fluency or aural rehabilitation needs
- Evaluation in determining alternate/augmentative communication needs such as signing, electronic devices, communication boards
- Oral Peripheral examinations related to structure and function as it pertains to feeding/swallowing problems.
- Individual/Group Therapy
- ·Assistance in the pursuit of electronic devices through Medicaid or other insurance or funding source.
- Assistive hearing device tolerance training
Position Qualifications: The SLP shall have a Master’s Degree and required certification. In addition, the SLP will have at least one (1) year’s post degree experience, preferred to be in a human service setting-serving persons with developmental disabilities
