Description
Community Workforce Solutions is seeking a passionate individual for an exciting opportunity in behavioral health. This individual will support high school students with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their internship journey. Under the supervision of the Pre-ETS Manager, the Internship Coach is responsible for facilitating internships, building community partnerships, billing, and supporting the Pre-ETS Program.
Responsibilities
Facilitate Internships
• Oversee students for the entirety of their job sampling or internship time.
• Work with managers at internship locations.
• Complete/model the job alongside interns.
• Maintain a safe environment for interns.
• Communicate with parents.
• Provide job education/coaching.
• Transport students to and from internships as needed.
• Oversee additional responsibilities that will enhance the intern’s experience.
Community Partners
• Visit communities and inquire about new community partnerships.
• Further develop existing partnerships and internship opportunities for students.
Billing
• Prepare materials necessary for billing Milestones, as prescribed by the pre-ETS billing process.
• Work with the Pre-ETS Accounting Specialists to ensure billing is completed.
• Communicate the billing schedule and needs with the Pre-ETS Accounting Specialists.
Travel
• Travel to all counties served by CWS including travel outside of Wake County at least once per week.
• Flexibility for travel demands is expected as the program expands.
Schedule
• 40 hours/week including availability to 7:00pm two evenings per week.
Required Education / Experience
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have valid NC Driver’s License.
- License and driving record must adhere to Agency standards.
- Successful completion of all required Core Competency training and eligibility to work in various schools in multiple counties.
Physical Requirements
- This position is considered sedentary to light, requiring 50% sedentary and 50% mobility.
- Travel is required between multiple schools in different counties: Halifax, Greene, Wilson, Nash, Vance, Onslow, Rockingham, Caswell and Wake.
- Lifting less than 10 pounds.
- Requires visual observation and the ability to communicate with a variety of individuals.
