Description

Community Workforce Solutions is looking for an individual who enjoys working with students with intellectual and developmental disabilities to fill the role of Pre-Employment Internship Instructor. Under the supervision of the Pre-ETS Manager, the Pre-ETS Internship Instructor position is responsible for supporting the Pre-ETS Internship program in collaboration with the Pre-ETS Internship Lead. This position will facilitate internships, complete necessary billing and support the Pre-ETS Program.

Responsibilities

Facilitating Internships

The Pre-ETS Instructor will oversee students for the entirety of their job sampling or internship time. The Internship Instructor will facilitate the internships which includes but is not limited to working with managers at internship locations, completing / modeling the job alongside the intern, maintaining a safe environment for the intern, communicating with parents, providing job education / coaching, and other tasks that will enhance the intern’s experience
The Internship Instructor will be responsible for transporting students to and from internships as needed using a company vehicle, or their own vehicle if the company vehicles are unavailable.

Support Classrooms

At times, this position will be asked to sub in classrooms as an instructor or a facilitator for Pre-ETS within the Pre-ETS Service area. This will range based on program need, internship schedules, and other circumstances, as determined by the pre-ETS manager.

Billing

This position will be responsible for preparing materials necessary for billing Milestones, as prescribed by the pre-ETS billing process and working with the Pre-ETS Accounting Specialists to ensure billing is completed.

The position will be responsible for communicating billing schedule and needs with the Pre-ETS Accounting Specialists.

Community Partners

As requested by the Pre-ETS Internship Lead this position will visit communities, inquire about new community partnerships, and further develop existing partnerships and internship opportunities for students.

Flexible Schedule

This non-exempt position will work a 40hr / week schedule, that is determined by the Pre-ETS Manager.

This position will travel to all counties served by CWS and will be expected to travel outside of Wake County at least once per week. The travel demands may expand as the program expands.

Required Education / Experience

Education : Bachelor's in Human Services or a closely related business field, (education, rehabilitation, social work, etc.) preferred. Extensive experience in the field may substitute for degree.

Must have valid NC Driver’s

Minimum Qualifications

License and driving record adhering to Agency standards, successfully complete all required Core Competency training and be eligible to work in various schools in multiple counties.

Physical Requirements

Position is considered sedentary to light, requiring 50% sedentary and 50% mobility. Travel between multiple schools in different counties (Halifax, Greene, Wilson, Nash, Vance, Onslow, Rockingham, Caswell and Wake). Lifting less than 10 pounds. Requires visual observation and the ability to communicate with a variety of individuals.

Compensation

20.00 -$22.00 / hour
