What are the responsibilities and job description for the Suspension-Diversion Program Assistant position at Community Youth Services inc?
Youth Program Assistant
Aids Program Coordinator in the running of the Suspension-Diversion Program - a program designed to replace traditional suspensions.
Candidate will report to Program Coordinator and Executive Director.
Position is M-F, approximately 30 to 35 hours per week. (8am - 2pm schedule)
Position requires:
- ability to work with middle school to high school aged youth - aiding in assignments and lessons
- Aid coordinator in leading restorative justice sessions/group discussions
- Develop community service projects to be completed by youth in suspension diversion program
- Record and collate data regarding referred students and youth
- Aid coordinator in providing career development, job search, and financial literacy lessons.
Candidate should be comfortable working with youth, and various stakeholders in the organization including (but not limited to) school administration, teachers, and ed techs. previous experience with at-risk youth is preferred.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.50 per hour
