JOB TITLE: Perkins CTE Lab Assistant
REPORTS TO: Assistant to the Vice President of Student Affairs
CLASSIFICATION: Part-Time – Grant $ 15.00/hour 20 hours/week
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY:
Provide individual computer lab assistance for Career and Technical Education students, including special population students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Perform duties for CTE students as deemed necessary by the Perkins Local Plan and communicated by the Assistant to the Vice President of Student Affairs.
- Assist and support CTE/ special population students in the Success Center computer lab with individual coursework as related to technology.
- Assist CTE students in the use of Microsoft Office, Tutor Trac and other technical program software.
- Collaborate with faculty Student Success Facilitator in providing lab services to CTE students.
- Work in conjunction with the CTE tutors to obtain reports for lab/tutorial sessions.
- Maintain a Perkins Daily Service Provider log that documents all hours worked, lists the students served, the services provided, and the time spent to provide such services.
- Perform other Perkins-related duties as assigned by the Assistant to the Vice President of Student Affairs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities. A typical way to obtain these would be:
- Associate degree preferred, high school diploma with two years current relevant experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- Computer programs including Microsoft Office.
Ability to:
- Deal tactfully and effectively with students, tutors, faculty, and staff.
- Operate a PC and related software.
