Position Summary:
The Front Office Registrar is responsible to greet and assist all patients and visitors. They will ensure the completion of paperwork, sign-in, security procedures, scheduling of patients, answering multiple phone lines, as well as verify patient medical insurance and be knowledgeable of medical terminology.

- Although you will have a primary clinic you report to, candidates should be flexible for occasional shifts at other clinics based on demand
Hours: Monday - Saturday: 7:30am - 8:00pm and Sundays 11:30am - 8:00pm
- PRN is minimum 2 shifts per month -- schedules made 4-6 weeks in advance
- Shifts are made by area managers who work with our scheduler to ensure clinics have coverage
- With advance notice, able to consult w/ manager to request a day off if needed (ie Work a Tuesday shift vs Monday due to an appointment)
PRN is minimum 2 shifts/month
- Potential for more shifts based on availability and willingness to pick up shifts at multiple clinics
Starting Pay: Competitive rate based on education / relatable experience
- Approx. $17-19/hr depending on background

Required Qualifications:
- At least 1 year experience of the following:
- Handling moderate to high volume of inbound/outbound calls and scheduling patients
- Verifying insurances (BCBS, United, Molina, Aetna, Cigna / Tricare, Medicare, etc)
- Face-to-face customer or patient interaction
- Must be able to work entire 12-hour shift (8-hour shift on Sundays)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Current BLS Certificate - must be obtained within 30 days of hire
- Up to date OSHA immunizations (Flu, Tdap, TB, Hep B)

Responsibilities:
- Arrive to all scheduled shifts on time - 7:30am Mon-Sat and 11:30am Sundays
- Adhere to HIPAA and all other applicable federal and state mandates.
- Contact Front Office Manager in an event of an emergency call-in.
- Contact Front Office Manager with any issues, questions, etc. pertaining to the clinic or your shift.
- On arrival, closure, and throughout day responsible for maintaining a professional clean appearance of the waiting area and all restrooms.
- Facilitate patient check-in, including insurance verification, accurate input of patient information and collection of co-payments and past due patient balances.
- Facilitate patient check-out, including collection of patient charges and any past due balances.
- Answers incoming telephone calls in a professional manner, appropriately making sure to screen calls, take messages, and/or direct calls to the appropriate individual or department, triage telephone calls according to urgency.
- Resolve patient complaints quickly, respectfully, and with professionalism, communicating all issues to the Front Office Manager and or Director of Front Office.
- Accurately maintain several clinic logs.
- Count cash box daily before the clinic opens and after the clinic closes, entering the log. All discrepancies should be sent to the Front Office Manager that day.
- Maintain and log an accurate count of Petty Cash.
- Every Tuesday, mail the following to the Corporate Office: weekly office incoming mail and Bento receipts. Email Front Office Manager when this has been completed.
- Every Tuesday send Cash Log to Front Office Manager.
- Be able identify any facility or clinic issues and place a help desk ticket.
- Ensure that every Monday the weekly facilities audit is completed and submitted.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
