School Coordinator
The Rogue Valley Safe Routes to School Coordinator will play a vital role in advancing the Commute Options mission to increase access to transportation options across Oregon. The Oregon SRTS program supports students and their families, including those from diverse and marginalized backgrounds, through access and knowledge on transportation options that provide affordable, safe, efficient, and equitable ways to get to and from school. This role will involve promoting and participating in Safe Routes to School (SRTS) programming throughout the Rogue Valley, including assisting established Safe Routes to School Programs and seeking out opportunities to build new programs.
Key responsibilities will include assisting in SRTS pedestrian and bicycle safety education and walk and roll events in schools, as well as fostering existing community partnerships and building new ones. Duties will involve traveling to job sites, including schools and various venues to help deliver education to students K-8, and collaborating with both local partners and the Oregon SRTS team.
