PHYSICAL THERAPIST WANTED

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our outstanding team of healthcare professionals. As a Physical Therapist with Los Alamos Visiting Nurse Service, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of patients and their families. The organization is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and cost efficiency while providing high-quality home health and hospice services to the residents of Los Alamos County and the Northern New Mexico service area.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Provide physical therapy services to individuals and their families in their homes according to the Plan of Care (POC) as prescribed by the attending physician.
  • Evaluate and assess patients' levels of functioning, develop and revise POCs, and identify barriers to desired outcomes.
  • Provide patient and family education, and coordinate services with other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the physical therapy profession through continued education and participation in professional organizations.
  • Supervise and mentor home health aides and therapy assistants as needed.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Graduate of a Physical Therapy school approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • Licensed or registered in the State of New Mexico.
  • At least one year of institutional experience preferred.
  • CPR certification preferred.
  • Current New Mexico Driver's license with current automobile insurance and reliable transportation.
