- Organize and oversee construction operations related to engineering, controls, and contract administration.
- Ensure construction teams are properly staffed and aligned with project goals.
- Coordinate between multiple project teams and departments to ensure smooth workflow and consistent communication.
- Provide timely support services to active construction projects.
- Implement and enforce consistent construction engineering standards and best practices across all jobs.
- Plan and manage phases of complex projects, including problem-solving for unique engineering and construction challenges.
- Support senior management with policy development and strategic planning.
- Conduct research and contribute technical input on intricate construction issues.
- Strong leadership and coordination skills within a multidisciplinary project environment.
- Proven ability to manage and support multiple large-scale construction efforts concurrently.
- Experience working in secure environments and handling sensitive or classified information.
- Ability to work fully onsite with occasional travel home allowed at manager discretion.
- Experience with federal construction projects or highly regulated environments.
- Familiarity with DOE/NNSA or LANL procedures and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Advanced knowledge of construction engineering principles, project controls, and contract administration.
- Certification or licensure in a technical or construction-related field is highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field with 10 years of experience, or
- Master’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Professional registration or certification is typically required in technical disciplines.
