The role of a Senior Safety Basis Analyst & Trainer at COMPA Industries, Inc. is pivotal in ensuring the safe operation of facilities in compliance with DOE safety regulations.
This position involves leading and performing nuclear and non-nuclear risk and hazard analyses to guarantee regulatory compliance and operational safety. The ideal candidate will have expert-level knowledge of DOE safety basis orders and standards.
In addition to conducting hazard identification, hazard analysis, accident analysis, and facility hazard categorization, this role also entails developing and maintaining safety basis documents, including Unreviewed Safety Question Determinations (USQD), Documented Safety Analyses (DSA), Technical Safety Requirements (TSR), and Facility Safety Plans.
Key responsibilities include assisting in revisions to Safety Basis (SB) policy and implementing documents, ensuring alignment with DOE standards and best practices. Furthermore, the successful candidate will lead and present technical training programs on DSA and TSR writing, fostering knowledge transfer and skill development across teams.
A strong background in policy development and implementation for safety basis programs is preferred. Experience in highly regulated environments with strict adherence to safety compliance requirements is also desirable.
