Injection Molding Technician
Run in house Injection Molding operation.
- Molds all parts in our product line.
- Maintains strict organizational protocols in the maintenance of molding machines, molds, and supporting equipment.
- Coordinates with engineering manager on any problem molds.
- Coordinates with engineering manager on the parameters of molds and related support equipment. Maintain adherence to manufacturing tolerances.
- Coordinates with engineering manager setting optimum molding parameters to achieve production volume goals at the lowest cost.
- Issues periodic status reports on molds and other related equipment.
- Assists in training and development of department personnel.
- Plans and coordinates special projects to meet quality, productivity and cost objectives consistent with departmental goals.
- Performs equipment and mold validations to insure budgeted cost and quality levels are achieved. Prepares required documentation i.e., validation protocols/reports to meet quality system guidelines.
- Performs production level secondary machining operations and production sonic welding on a regular basis.
- REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong understanding of injection molding manufacturing and process development
- Must have a MINIMUM of 3 years of recent experience in injection molding.
- Must have recent experience with Validation Protocols
- Experience creating DOE's and performing FAT's.
- Experience with Basic Machine tool operations a plus.
